This is where I share my random thoughts with anybody bored enough to read em. Mostly about people who are less talented writers than I am who make way more money.
6/19/2005:I just read that the “runaway bride” has a signed a “media deal” she’ll have a book out on the shelves within a few months and a maybe movie. The deal is worth about half a million dollars. I've gotta admit I'm jealous. I usually have to write books before I can get anybody to publish them and I don't get near that much cash.
On one hand, I give her credit, she did what a lot of people have thought about doing (the running away part)and turned a profit on it. On the other hand,I have to ask, “What the heck did she do to deserve a deal like this?”"Why is this interesting?" She planned a HUGE wedding, got cold feet, ran away, and then lied about it by faking her own abduction. I guess these media driven days that qualifies as new$ worthy. I'm not sure if this is sad or just plain silly that this is of national interest. I can see it now, people will get engaged but instead of planning the actual wedding they will plan ways to make their escape from the wedding marketable and who will play them in the movie. Jz
6/20/2005: The Paris Hilton hamburger commercial is getting more buzz, good I'm glad to see the poor girl is getting some much needed exposure. The good news is if she makes enough commercials maybe she won't have time to do a new season of The Simple Life....
STAR MATH: Tom Cruise = age = 42 = mid life crisis = Katie Holmes. Maybe Tom will play the Joker in the next Batman movie? (Though he's actually better suited for the Penguin.)
6/22/2005: I will be on The Daily Buzz today. Hopefully I won't make a big fool of myself. (Unless of course it will get ME a mega media deal.)
6/26/2005: Back from doing the Buzz and Orlando. Live TV is HARD. If I ever do the show again (or any other live TV) I am going to remember to drink water before I go on so my mouth won't be so dry... I give the Buzz crew a lot of credit for holding me up and doing 3 hours live a day! Thanks guys.
Oh, swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove is a really fun time and well worth the money. That alone is something unique in Orlando. Where it seems all most other places are intersted in is your money.
7/05/2005: Man, now Hulk Hogan and the Williams Sisters and even Pauly Shore are getting reality shows. Folks once you start the camera's rolling it's not reality.
8/13/2005: Great, now OJ jurors are writing books. Just what I need a bunch of people selling more books than I do for basically saying, "oops we were wrong..."
